Blogging world here I come!

I’ve been toying for months with the idea of starting a blog. Well, here we go !! I have no idea how it will turn out, but that’s fine; I’ll just go with the flow and see where my daily, weekly, monthly transitions in life will take me. My whole life I’ve been on many kinds of journeys both spiritually, emotionally and geographically but of course one never reaches a final destination….

Going with the flow … that is how I landed in Palestine, my ‘first love’ as they say, or rather as I say. By that I mean, the first time you move to a place as a young professional living and working in a foreign culture. I fell in love with Palestine.*

Today, watching the TEDx Ramallah, I was reminded why: the amazing spirit of the Palestinian people… and of course, the speakers also included non-Palestinians telling us amazing stories, including the super-talented Brazilian film maker, Julia Bacha known for her documentary about Budrus village, as well as Pulitzer prize-winning Alice Walker.

* I refer to Palestine/Palestinians as I lived with Palestinian communities. I’m not so concerned about the name of the place: Israel, Palestine, Occupied Territories, Holy Land, whichever …
